Home Theater Design: Optimum SPEAKER PLACEMENT

Standard Agreement for the theater is obviously a screen on one side of the room, with a center speaker, a speaker on each side of the screen, surrounded by two speakers and allows the right and left, and sometimes a speaker providing surround rear. If you have your room arranged this way, chances are good that you can call your home theater speaker placement is relatively easy for you. The ideal situation is the front speakers the same height above the ground, usually eitherspeakers slightly higher or slightly lower than that of the display, and surround at least 60 inches above the heads of the spectators.

The center front speaker should preferably be in the same position on the screen, you should place the front left and right about 25 degrees to ensure the left and right of the heading face of the viewer, and about the same distance from the spectators surround – surround left and right speakers should be 90 degrees to the left and right direction, andonce again, about the same distance from spectators, and the surround back, as the name suggests, must be behind the viewer. A subwoofer, if used, can theoretically be placed anywhere in space.

For many people, and I agree with this, the design of your home, is such that it is not easy, with a room that is in this way. After all, unless you are very lucky that the chances that the space your home theater equipment doubles your room andwould like to see a screen, not dominate. Maybe you call your house as such is not. For this problem, create a scale diagram of your room. Add the location of the screen to subscribe to specific arrangements of seats (your desks and chairs) and identify the people who sit when watching movies, and the direction they want to see.

The next thing you need to do is draw a line from each viewer directly on the screen, asindicates the direction in which each viewer faces. Then draw a line inclined at 25 degrees to the left of the line you have from the viewer for each viewer, it meets the wall. If the speaker at any point of the line is placed, will be the right angle for the appropriate viewer. What you need to get a point along the wall close to where these lines reach the wall. This is usually somewhere near the center of the series of lines. Youthen identified the best placement for your home theater front speakers left.

What you must do the same, but the lines angle of 25 degrees to the right of the heading face of the viewer. With these rules, you can identify the optimum home theater placement for the right speaker.

Repeat the process for quotes on the left angle of 90 degrees, 90 degrees to the right and 180 degrees (a continuation of the line from spectator to the screen, but in reverse). With these lines, you canidentify the best placement for the left speaker home theater surround, right surround speaker and the rear surround.

Ideally, the front left and right speakers equidistant from each spectator is left and right surround speakers. This will normally be impossible to achieve, and therefore to be contacted. Much more important is the speaker placement angles for each viewer, which should preferably be not more than about 15 degrees away fromthe optimum position. Best home theater speaker placement is determined by minimizing the standard error for each audience.

The subwoofer can be placed theoretically at any point in space, because the public is not easy to determine the direction of sounds at low frequencies. You may find that putting the subwoofer in different parts of the change room with the sounds from the subwoofer, certain frequencies can be increased, while others can be reduced, especially if the subwoofer isNear a wall or a corner of the room. We suggest that you experiment with the placement of the subwoofer until you find a position that you want.

Some other factors that may influence the position in which to place the speakers. You want your speakers are not in a position where they found a road that went regularly through prevention, for example, near a doorway. Also, if they are not magnetically shielded front speakers, they should not be placed too near a cathode(old style) TV, because it will cause the purity of the color of the display is affected. It does not apply to LCD or plasma TV is not. Using this method can correctly speakers so that we can possibly be proud of your home and liver at the same time!

Always remember that the idea behind the system for your home theater system to create, so you can enjoy movies in full enjoyment. Some people forget this. What can you do with your housetheater design, fall into the trap of over-analyze the results. Begin to enjoy these films!
